Great cutting board for pasta making
Wow!! Thank you so much Sunshine Coast Cutting Boards
As a Canberran a long way from home escaping the winter, I stopped at your stall because I could smell the beauty of your craftsmanship and immediately felt the QLD warmth! Stuart was careful in his assessment of my commercial enquiry and was forthcoming in his consideration of what would work considering the distance the boards needed to travel. He was helpful beyond reproach; he even offered dinner advice to my hungry 8 year old daughter who was a long way from home!
The following week I made my informed inquiry once I had assessed what would work in our market and how many boards I needed for the coming months to give as gifts to our clients. The promptness of Stuart and Fiona’s response was second to none. I requested options, they were provided with hours. I requested advice on wording, style and layout, they provided again within hours. At no time did they make me feel like one of those annoying clients either!
The immediacy in all that they did to complete my order certainly made my experience an excellent one. In addition, Stuart also offered options to extend my order with a branded cheese knife. Now that’s not only add on sales, but that’s offering service (to me and our clients who will receive their boards!).
A very big thank you to Stuart & Fiona. I know my next order of cutting boards will be coming from Australian Cutting Boards!
Yours Sincerely

Eumundi Markets
Stuart is very proud of his unique locally handcrafted cutting boards, and know theirs to be superior to some of the other cutting boards on the market.
He starts with a slab of kiln dried Camphor Laurel, which is cracked and rough, and doesn’t look like much to start with! From this, he creates cutting boards which are unusual shapes and sizes. All the boards are made in one piece and contain no glue and no laminating.
He also add dipping holes and handles to turn a board into a serving platter for that special occasion. Some of the boards are laser engraved with uplifting messages. Stuart offers engraving as a service to customers, who would like to make that board a special memento for the bride and groom, the engaged couple, a house warming gift or a gift with thought for a birthday.
All the boards are reasonably priced, and Stuart is passionate about the anti fungal and anti bacterial qualities of the timber. He’d like everyone in Australia to use a camphor laurel cutting board as it is the healthy way to go!

This was just part of the attraction for Australian Cutting Boards’ Fiona Garrett and Stuart Wilson when they initially began their range.
Adding to that was the fact the boards developed as a recyclable product from a tree that was an introduced pest.
Not one to think in mere squares anymore, and Fiona said the popularity of their range had developed because they appreciated that customers were looking for random shapes and sizes.
“We picked cutting boards for our range because basically everyone needs a cutting board and from our personal experience using plastic or glass, we found that camphor laurel was the best for any household due to its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial qualities,” she said. “We are proud of how popular our range has become from the very small board for travellers to the very large and everything in between.”

Given their anti-fungal and anti-bacterial qualities, Australian Cutting Boards not only have been showcased at the markets but also in butcher shops, used for cooking demonstrations at shows and often by restaurants to serve meals due to their attractive design.
Fiona enjoys the chance to meet new people locally and from around the world at her Eumundi Markets stall.
“It is nice to know that sometimes we are sending an Australian-made product to all corners of the globe because the Original Eumundi Markets is so unique and truly embraces Australian-made products made by most of the stallholders,” she said.
“We love having a 100% Australian made product that we can offer to the world and have also added to our lines with new laser engraving designs, hand carved bowls and CNC creative designs.”
